breeders You may need to ask the commerical breeder to get a accurate number of defective pups they must put down each year..as to someone like me who used to have about 20 to 30 pups per year..and that includes "puppy back" contracts...rarely do you get a pup you can not find the perfect home for..a cosmetic defect is just that, cosmetic. You reduce the price and people are thrilled to get it. A life threathening problem is very different and the breeder most often keeps the pup until the are well or die...that might occur once every 5 years or so. |
