My hubby and I decided before we got our pups that we would not take them to anyone's house unless they were specifically invited. And even then we would probably question it. Our reasons were mainly that we both have family members that bring their dogs with them without asking or they ask and the hosts feel like that have to say yes. It has been awkward for the host everytime and I would hate to put anyone in that position. Part of enjoying my family and friends is make sure that everyone is comfortable and quite honestly if I'm in someone else's house I will be more preoccupied with watching my babies than enjoying the company.

I understand that you are frustrated with your neice since you have done so much for her and her puppy, but unfortunately she may not recognize all that you have done and her household rules for dogs may simply be different than your's were for her puppy. However, I certainly wouldn't allow this to harm your relationship with her. I hope that it all works out.
