Sunday Update -
The shelter is closed today and tomorrow I will check again to find out any news and exactly what time the Yorkie will be up for adoption.
I am applying the attitude of "knowing the outcome in advance" in adopting this Yorkie, which means I am assuming a positive outcome. I have bought her a cool little doggie bed and I decided to try and find another one of what I call "the best $10 I ever spent" on something for my Maltese, which was a children's "Mini Mushroom Chair" I saw last yeat at Walmart. He loves this chair and it also folds flat when needed.
I went to several Walmarts and could not find them. Evidently they were closed out and I did see a few of the large adult sized ones but they are too big.
My Maltese (his name is Bo') has a blue chair (picture of him in it is below), and I really wanted to find a pink one for the Yorkie (since it is a girl). The mini mushroom chairs were not at Walmart online either.
Well, this afternoon, I stopped by another Walmart away from where I live and I decided to check in the chair/furniture section and guess what...they had ONE Mini Mushroom Chair left - and it was PINK! Tell me that is not a sign. And to top that, the price was not on it and I was prepared to pay whatever it costs...at the register it showed $6.00! A great deal at $10, unbelievable at $6. They are about 19" in diameter, sturdy, and collapsable.
So, some Walmarts across the country may have some left if anyone was looking into getting one for their Yorkie...my Maltese loves his.
