Keep Cassie away and bathe the new pup with the same shampoo you use on her before you introduce the two. It will take away the unknown smell and replace it with one she's familiar with. I recommend new owners do this when introducing one of my pups to an already pet household. It helps to take the sting out of the current family members and makes the transition much easier on all. They don't feel nearly as threatened if the smell is one they know. I'm not saying it works all the time, but it sure helps most of the time. It won't take them long to be best buddies.
I also should have added, after bathing and drying your new little one, put her in a cage, shut the door and sit it in the middle of the floor. Then let Cassie do the inspection. Be right there for Cassie and talk to her as she looks over the situation. Keep an eye on them and when you think she is somewhat over the intrusion on her space, open the cage door, but don't take the pup out. Let them work it out from there. I think you might be surprised at how quickly they will adapt to each other.
