I have heard that it may help if you keep everything as is, as Jack thinks he's the alpha-male in the house now, so let him continue to be. If Jill sees that Jack is the "top dog", she may become used to it and accept that. One Jack knows that Jill accepts his role, then it may be easier for them to bond together. And treat Jack the same as before Jill came into the home. That's one method I've heard.
