Roxy is in pain! I am so glad to read your post! I thought I was the only one who was freaking out over Roxy getting spayed. She was done yesterday, and she is still in pain. She also got a tumor removed off of her lip, so she has stitches in her lip too. The vet did give her pain meds.
We don't use a crate, but we have one in the living room with the door open. I decided to use it at bedtime because I was worried she would jump off of our bed and get hurt! She cried in the crate, so we kept her in bed with us all night. We have been lifting her up on the couch and lifting her off when she wants to get down.
I know we sound crazy, but this operation really was a major thing! Her stitches look just like you described Raisins, Bumpy LONG incision, about 3 1/2 inches. It is red around the glue stitches. I hope that is normal.
She has a soft cone and doesn't like it. Someone said to use onesies. What about when they have to "go" I guess take it off. Roxy uses a litter box, so I guess the onesie idea won't work??
Roxy is not feeling well today, poor little girl! I can't stand it! I hope Raisin feels better than Roxy does.
