It's ideal to stay with what the breeder had him on if that is a good brand of food. If you don't have anyway to find out you should switch foods when you still have a bit left so that you can mix them half and half (for like 7 days) and don't switch him cold turkey. It will sometimes upset their little tummies and cause a big mess for you.. I use Pro Plan. My babies love it and that's what Ty came from the breeders eating. I know that there are a lot of different brands that people use and I'm sure that they will be throwing some others out there for you too..
