Default Another idea

Here's another idea. You can put your hair band in, or your bow and have your dog on a leash. Once it's in, take your dog for a short walk. If he/she goes to paw at it, give a small tug up and encourage the dog to just keep walking. The idea is to keep your leash loose enough so that they're not pulling and when the do go to stop and begin pawing at it or roll around (assuming they're not freaking out all together) then give them a correction so that they keep their head up and keep walking, or encourage them to change the subject and sniff things on your walk. Anything to get their mind off of this "creepy thing stuck to their head". And do the same once you get home. If you notice after your walk that he/she is interested in pulling it out, then tell them no, if they continue, maybe hook your finger under their collar and give a slight tug towards you and tell them no again. If they leave it alone for a minute or two, again I'd try to change the subject and maybe play w/ them w/ a toy for ahwile.
If your Yorkie knows he's not allowed to touch it and runs into another room to do so, you'll need to have him on a leash w/ you so you can monitor him for awhile at least in the house.
