My precious Gizmo passed away a few weeks ago from kidney failure. Not only have I been not able to stop crying, but with all the vet bills that accumulated during his last week of life, my husband said I couldn't even think about getting a new puppy not now, not for a long while. We have a son in college and two teens at home and are helping our oldest daughter and her new husband in their first year of marriage. Also, we have two large breed dogs who I adore and also deserve the proper care. So all of this has added to my deperation because, Gizmo was MY dog, my friend, went everywhere with me, etc. So I had started praying. God knew how much I loved Gizzie and the very fact that I want another Yorkie so badly is just a testament to what a wonderful friend Gizmo was to me.
....which brings us to last Friday night, Good Friday. I live in Indiana and work at a university in Indianapolis. It was about 6 pm. A tremendous hail storm hit. All of the cars in the parking lot were damaged and windshields were even broken. Just now, today, the insurance called and are sending me a check for the damage done to my car...$4000.00!!!!!!!

I am so sorry about Gizzie and I know how you are feeling. We went through loosing our Yorkie last Nov. after ten and half years, it is not easy. We got another Yorkie six weeks later. I was so happy to hear you wanted to get another and when I read this post I was so happy to hear you are going to get one. I am so sorry for all the damage caused back there in Indiana from the hale storm, but I think your thinking is right on spending that money and getting another Yorkie. Suggestion you might give the name Haley some thought if you get a girl. Reading your post brought to my mind of what I went through last week, ( I got very ill, and was unable to eat for 53 hours, was admitted into the hospital and had to have an emergency procedure performed.) I kept praying for things to stay down nothing would, couldn't even sip water and keep it down, oh how I prayed and then I realized how often I look to God for HIS help when I need it and other times I don't take the time to Thank HIM daily for granting me good health. Didn't mean to get off track here but what you said about the Lord works in mysterious ways brought that to mind. I get so busy here at home and my goodness did I have to get so ill to get me to take the time and say," Thank you Lord more often." Bless you and with all the love you had for Gizzi I know God has a special Yorkie just waiting for you to love. Please post pictures and I will be checking and looking for your post that you got your new baby.
