Aria had a small lump above her incision after her spay and about 2 months later it turned into what looked like a big red zit! We were so worried we called the emergency vet (it was on a weekend). They said more than likely it was the sutra (sp?) (I think the internal stitches?). They told us to keep an eye on it and if it got bigger or started pussing to bring her in. Luckily the swelling started to go down and we took her to our vet that Monday...it was the sutra healing. Our vet told us just to keep it clean and put warm clothes on it to get the blood circulating...she said it would go away completely within a few days to a week. It did go away and now she barely has any scarring.
