LoL!! I love how you told the story, I felt like I was there.
Actually, I have some other advice besides belly bands.
I was using belly bands on Wookie, and all they did was make it "ok" for him to pee whenever/whereever he wanted. It got so bad that he was wearing them 24/7 literally.
He used to mark everything and anything allllll the time. So here are my thoughts.. don't get him used to those.
What I do now is.. besides watch him like a hawk.. when he does try to mark, I make a huuuuge fuss about it. Not just me, but whoever is in the room. Just act like it's a huge deal, and it was very very wrong. It has worked like magic on Wookie!
