No, in fact they were quite normal except for not having the nervousness and car sickness. I got Meclizine from the vet...I give 1/4 of a tablet a 1/2 hour before we leave and they did great today. It says they're 25 mg. so I don't know if that's the whole tablet before they were cut or if each 1/4 tablet equals 25 mg. I also kept their food up for an hour or so before we left. I've heard you can also get the Meclizine in liquid form...mine is a pill, I gave it to them in a tiny bite of soft food and they didn't even know it was there. I'm hoping they'll get used to riding in the truck and after a while they won't need anything.
