I just got a puppy last week. When he falls asleep, he will let me do anything to him. Try gently picking her up when she is napping and petting her for a bit...then work gently with your grooming tools. I had 2 Maltese before...the first one, we got at 6 weeks...way too early, but I started grooming him right away, and he always loved it. My second was a female...we didn't get her until she was 6 months old, and she was a little harder to groom...so far this little guy is great! Ann
