I would leave it intact. My puppy was docked at a few days old and while I'm okay with that, I also like the longer tail on the Yorkie. The tail is never that big or anything anyway and it adds a nice counter-balance to the overall look of the dog. She's too old I think to have it done and she's probably used to it by now. It's strictly speaking a 'mutilation' at this stage

The law here bans docking unless it is carried out under ten days old by a veterinary surgeon. According to my breeder, it is 'snipped' off and the puppies don't make any movement or sound... so I'm guessing why they say it doesn't hurt. I'm not sure that that's necessarily true tho'
