To me it is a Honor to get pick as 1st in my puppy class then continuing to move forward. Because on that day, in that ring, with that judge they felt my dog was the best of the representation of my breed... points or not, I am proud.

For the Adults they go under another point structure for achievement their Gold Cup. Since I have only shown puppies so far I am not the expert on the IABCA. Here are the links to this process..

Classes
Title Requirements

Even if points are not awarded I would walk up to anyone at ANY show and tell them their Best in Show means nothing.. if I did I think I better be able to duck fast ... I know all the show people feel that it is a Honor to move up this ladder to get these accomplishments...

Since this is the only place that accepts the Biewers at this time this is where I am going to have to hang my hat for showing.. Good, bad, points or no points...
So was I right that Abigayle moved up the farthest? And that is an accomplishment. I was dang proud that Foster went to compete in the Toy Group even though there were not any points awarded. I think the competing part is just as important. Homer showed beautifully, I said that before. Dice was busy sniffing the ground or whatever he didn't put on a show as nice as Homer.

I kind of wish AKC would have the grading system because that gives you a better idea of what they judge thinks of your dog over all.

I hope you didn't take what I said the wrong way. I have to hang my hat next to yours and I will take Foster there too. For experience and because it was fun.
