Now if there was a 5 point major at the beginning (winners dog) your point structure will NOT change if he wins group, he is awarded title only.
lol I hope this is all correct anyone out there that sees any error's please post it, since I am a novice and learning the structure! |
When showing the puppies you can ONLY get their National and International Titles... If you show in more than one puppy class and continue to get your SG1's this is to let you know as a breeder/handler that your breed is developing nicely and should consider continuing to show when they are adults. To me it is a Honor to get pick as 1st in my puppy class then continuing to move forward. Because on that day, in that ring, with that judge they felt my dog was the best of the representation of my breed... points or not, I am proud.
For the Adults they go under another point structure for achievement their Gold Cup. Since I have only shown puppies so far I am not the expert on the IABCA. Here are the links to this process..
Classes Title Requirements
Even if points are not awarded I would walk up to anyone at ANY show and tell them their Best in Show means nothing.. if I did I think I better be able to duck fast ...

I know all the show people feel that it is a Honor to move up this ladder to get these accomplishments...
Since this is the only place that accepts the Biewers at this time this is where I am going to have to hang my hat for showing.. Good, bad, points or no points...
