In the puppy classes you are divided into groups by age. Out of the age group you are awarded 1st or 2nd place..
IF you are given 1st Place you move onto contention for Best in Breed.

So... in conclusion this is not a fun match it is a very important step of moving through the show process.

The fun match runs the same way. You get ribbons 1 and 2nd, and you move on to the other levels. Foster won best of Breed in the fun match. He came in 2nd for the Toy group. He could have won Best in Show. This is not the same? How is it different?
