This part isn't entirely correct here, sorry. No points are awarded here this part is correct. This part of the show goes as follows.
In the puppy classes you are divided into groups by age. Out of the age group you are awarded 1st or 2nd place..
IF you are given 1st Place you move onto contention for Best in Breed.
IF you win Best of Breed you then move onto Best of Group
IF you win Best of Group you go for Best in Show.
So... in conclusion this is not a fun match it is a very important step of moving through the show process.
