Most...not all...buy from puppy mills/brokers. There are those few that actually buy from local breeders. I know that I asked about seeing some AKC papers once from our local feed store and they wouldn't show them to me unless I bought the dog.
With the shop you mention, it is very possible that they were grown locally but like Kristy said, if you don't actually see the papers, it's unknown.
Reminds me of a sign I saw the other day at Lowes. It was for mulch and a disclaimer that their mulch DID NOT come from Louisiana. There had been a rumor going around to not buy mulch because they were getting it from trees in Louisiana and that there was termites in them. |
