IABCA shows After showing i talked to one of the directors of the Club. Here's how they explained how the IABCA show works:
You earn you rtitles being judged against the standard from the UCI. So we all were good represntations of the Biewer breed because we all were graded SG1s. To receive your American International Championship. You need to have 4 SG1 gradings done. We all have that.
Now, they also put on a show where the breeds compete in classes like the AKC shows. You take your dog out there to compete against others in it's class (age/sex/etc..) the judge pics the 'winners' based on how the dog 'showed' at that moment. These winnings do not go towards you title though. But, you do get ribbons and it's still something to be proud of. It's similar to the fun show that I went to with Foster no points or titles but it's a dang good feeling!!
And the Specialty was a nice exciting xtra show where your dog needed to perform at that moment..thankfully Dice decided to show for me..lolol....Dice earned BSS (Best in Speciality Show) title.
Now the AKC shows do not have this grading system. The only way to earn your title is to compete against others and be top dog. So if this were and AKC show, I think Abigail would be 'top dog' because she moved the farthest. She won the Toy group and moved on to best of rareities.
It would have been the coolest for Abigail to win best of Rareities. The Biewer are like the Jefferson's 'movin' on up'..lolol.
I hope I explained all of the clear enough..
