I agree that Lactose-Free milk would be a good thing to use for your dog. You can buy a quart - and with as little as your dog would use or drink, it would last a long time. (It's in the dairy section at the store with the regular milk.)
Personally - I don't like the taste of Soy milk - but Lactose-Free milk is something that you can use as well as your dog... my granddaughter uses it for her cereal all the time - and I have cooked with it often.
Many people who can't tolerate dairy products/milk - drink this regularly.
