I'm not so sure you want to hear mine! Two days before the wedding my sister got hit in the nose with a softball, so my maid of honor had two black and blue eyes. She also got her finger stuck in a swingy garbage can top and had a broken finger. (Good thing it wasn't all about her!) When we booked our reception this very obnoxious man at the place kept saying "We provide everything but the groom ha ha ha" Well, two days before I found out they don't provide table cards so I ran all over town buying 8 at a time at card stores until I had enough. (200). then my two neices were in my wedding and their dance recital ended up being the night before, so I had to change my rehearsal dinner to the Thursday before. on the way home from that my sister got into a car accident with herself, the girls and my mom in the car. Luckily it wasn't really serious. the woman who made my girls dresses literally delivered them to my house at midnight on Friday night. The limos came and we jumped in without paying attention to the time, that is how I ended up being 45 minutes early for my own wedding. There was another one just finishing up when we go to the chapel! A few weeks before the wedding the clergyman who was going to marry us was reassigned. The new Bishop was a wonderul man, I loved him. He was a midget! We were used to him, but it was a bit of a shock to a lot of people! My neice had an asthma attack and had to leave the church for the air conditioned car. When we walked in to the cocktail hour the first thing I picked up was a swedish meatball which fell off of the toothpick and bounced down the front of my dress. I could go on and on. We were engaged for 2 years and everything unraveled right before the wedding. The honeymoon is another long story! But, we just laughed it all off. Relax and don't stress, everything doesn't have to be perfect...you'll still be married when it's all over and that is what it's all about! |
