I'm assuming you've let the law enforcement officials in the town/state where he lives know too. It sounds a bit extreme, but he seems like the most shocking individual and it would probably be in their best interests to know too.
It sounds like a truly appalling story and I'm sorry you had to go through it. I showed my husband your post and he said it's one of the most disgraceful things he's ever seen. So sorry you had to go through all of that and I think you're wonderful for keeping that little boy. You've basically saved him from those awful people
Can you imagine if that man is like that with people, what's he like with the poor animals in his 'care'? I think you should report him to the local chapter of the ASPCA and the local Department of Agriculture officials too just for good measure. You could also drop a line to whatever the local newspaper is too. He shouldn't be allowed to get away with it
