| My Baby Got Pepper Sprayed!! Hi Gang,
Yesterday afternoon I was so mad , I was going to take a nap with Buffy in my room when Susie came running in with my 3# 5 month Yorkie Duncan in her arms and told me the mailman had pepper sprayed him mg:
I told her to start running water over his face and to tilt him forward so the water doesn't go in his nose and into his lungs, while I ran to get towels.
When I got back his little face was all wet and he could not open his eyes I couldn't tell if it was helping him or what he was feeling. So I licked him on the forehead and that sh## burns like a jalapeno chili my mouth and lips were on fire! He shook and pepper spray got in my eyes and it was just like chili in my eyes. I told Susie what he was feeling and she went and got milk, we gave him some to drink and we bath him with it.
I told Susie to stop running water on him the chemical on his hair will keep going into his eyes so just to start to dry it away from his eyes.
I was so mad I went outside looking for him but didn't find him, then I got on the phone and called his supervisor and made a report and so far nothing. I really don't think they will do anything.
When I got back to my room Susie told me that she had opened the screen door to get the mail and Duncan ran out after the mailman and Susie after Duncan. Duncan ran 2 houses down and Susie was yelling at the mailman that he did bite he was just a puppy, but still the mailman sprayed him twice. Susie thinks that the first time he had missed and that is why he sprayed him again.
After he calm down we all took a 1 hour nap and when he woke up he was fine, oh I had also called the vet and looked in my first aid for dogs & cats book.
The book didn't have anything and the vet said that Duncan would been fine we did the right thing in washing it off and keeping him warm afterward, but I wasn't fine I was still mad and I even got mad at Susie for not being more careful knowing that this was not the first time Duncan has ran out.
Sometimes I feel I'm too over protective over these kids, but things like this make me this way and when someone does or says something mean about my spoiled kids I don't forgive. |
