This has been so fascinating to read. I have a dog from that breeder. I didn't buy him directly from her though. I bought him from a young girl that bought him, had him shipped to California, had him for a few months and then decided she couldn't have a dog anymore because she was going off to college. Anyway, she gave me his AKC papers and the documents she had regarding his shipping, both of which had the name Merri Chaffin on them. So, of course, I googled the name and found their ads and website. The first thing I noticed is that they have 3 different breeds, are USDA certified, and make no mention of the parent dogs on the web site. Yikes! My first thought was, my little Titan is a puppy mill baby. Well, it doesn't change anything. He's a beautiful little boy and we love him dearly.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting to see this name pop up. Small world, isn't it?
