I agree with all the others...it's always a good idea to bring the dog to the vet as soon as you adopt, just to get the pup checked over to make sure there are no problems.

I've had my pup for a month and a half and he's been to the vet a few times already, the first time within 24 hours of getting him, and he's now booked for his neutering in early May. My vet also mails out cards to let me know when it's time for shots, check-ups, etc. Establishing a relationshiip with your vet is extremely important, especially if you find yourself in an emergency situation.
