You may try to find the book The Complete Yorkshire Terrier by Joan B. Gordon and Janet Bennett very helpful. A good book on structure for the beginner is "Dog Steps" and sorry do not have the authors name but you should be able to find it. Take your new girl to handling class. While we think a lot about structure, but attitude of the dog can not be overlooked - not shy.
