Oh, I feel ya. When Bailey was younger, I left him with my parents for a week b/c I was going to visit my boyfriend to throw him a birthday party. They didn't brush him the WHOLE time, so he was ridiculously matted. So matted, in fact, that the groomer had to shave him practically bald. He went from black to grey in a matter of minutes. Not only was he cold, and incredibly tiny looking, but I missed out on part of puppyhood b/c he didn't jsut naturally ease into his adult coat. And there are no good groomers in my town, so I go through emotional drama everytime he gets groomed. But it will grow back. Just let yourself have a moment to be upset, cry if you must, and then look at your baby and realize that she's so adorable, you could shave her bald and still have the most beautiful dog in the whole world. |
