I am sorry for hearing about what you are going through. This is why people can't do favors for anyone in this world because of stuff like that. She knew she never had anything with you as far as a contract. Now she's asking out of spite. Since you never had papers for none of them and you did all their medical care take those documents with you and any other proof you have and show the judge that. Im not sure of how the legal part goes but if you can you should counter sue because thats just not right for her all of a sudden to be demanding money from you when you were them one taking and caring for all the dogs she needed homes for.
