Default Lola broke her leg again!

Lola broke her leg on Valentines Day! She had a cast for a month and the doctor removed it about a week and a half ago. Everything looked like it healed fine. Since then Lola has not always put her weight down on that leg, but she was gaining strength everyday. On Thursday night she was playing at my boyfriend's grandparents house and started to cry. No one saw what happened, but it was obvious that her leg was broken again. Off to the emergency again ! We thought that she might have broken it in the same place. However, this time the break went through two bones. Lola is only six months old and she has now gone through this twice. Fast forward to a day later and we find out that she needs to go to an orthopedic surgeon for surgery. The vet said that the surgery will be about 5,000 dollars. Here is my dilemma...
Most people do not understand how I could spend this kind of money on my little girl.. She has already cost us about 3,000 in vet bills. Of course I don't want to spend this money, but I feel like I have no choice. Why do people feel the need to tell me that I should consider euthanizing my dog.
Also, I am wondering if any one else on YT has VPI and if it possible for them to drop our insurance for too many claims. Sorry to complain...but I know that everyone here feels the same way about their pets.
