Grilled Italian sausage with sweet and sour peppers
Ingredients:
4 Tbsp slivered almonds
¼ cup raisins
3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
Dash of black pepper
6 uncooked Italian sausage links
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 green and 2 red bell peppers cut into 1-inch strips
1 medium red onion sliced
In fry pan boil sausage in about 1 inch of water with lid on for about ½ hour or until non-pink when cut in half. Dump out water, brown sausage and set aside on plate
In same pan brown almonds in olive oil, stir in raisins, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until sugar dissolves. Throw in veggies, sausage and cook until veggies are tender.
Arrange on plate and serve with garlic bread.
This is REALLY good, as it has a unique taste, and is not your run of the meal sausage and bell pepper recipe.
