I also have a Winston (Winnie for short)!! He's a bichon/poodle mix about 20 lbs and is 3 years old. I stumbled upon this board while researching shorkies=shih tzi + yorkie mix, and got hooked!! So truth be told I don't even have a yorkie

mg: I feel like I'm coming out of the closet finally

The advice on this board I find crosses over to all dogs and the people are just so nice and kind. I too have decided to finally add to our brood of 3 kids (15,11 and 10) and 1 dog. I decided on getting a full blooded shih tzu instead of the shorkie. Little Georgia Belle will be coming next weekend. She is a black shih tzu that weighs 1.2 lbs at the moment!! I'm very happy and excited and my mommy instincts are in overdrive. I too know what you're going through because my mind is whirling about introducing her to Winnie and how they will get along, etc. I saw on The Dog Whisperer that when you first bring your furbaby home you should hold it's behind up to the other dogs to let them get a good sniff. I thought that was great advice. It's a dogs way of getting to know another dog! Keep posting people because I'm eating up all of your advice like ice-cream!! Thanks for reading such a long post
