Hi Patti,

Getting over the loss of our loved ones takes time. Give yourself a chance and time to grieve her loss, i know its hard, a lot of our members have been through this, so they all understand where your coming from.

A few weeks after i lost my first yorkie in 1997 there was a talkshow on tv that i was watching, the topic was "loss of a pet" and what it does to us. I was devastated and much like you, i could not stop crying, i used to cuddle up and hold her favourite blankie just to feel/smell her (i still have that blankie) anyhow, they did a study and they proved that it takes app. 8,5 months for the sharp edges and the pain to subside after losing a fur baby.
It's very important to cry and talk about it as much as you can to anybody thats willing to listen to you. They also said, it's important not to get rid of all the pet's belongings or favourite toy, just something for you to keep with you for as long as you need it.

I hope this helped a bit, if you need to talk i'll be here for you

Mandy
