This thread has been something. Let me say that I have had Lex three weeks now and he has done some damage to the furniture and I thought that the cat was gonna kill him. It does take a period for all parties to get adjusted. April (our cat) was literally growling at him...I thought that there was another dog in the house. I was worried for him but I know it takes time. April is almost three times his size. Anyhow time has passed and they now play like old buddies. So maybe if she gave it some time she would see that it would be ok. I presume that the situation is just way too much for her to handle and maybe partly she is dissapointed in his size. I can't see buying another puppy so close. But hey...what do I know. I do hope that she realizes it's not the dogs fault. He is a baby himself and is probably jealous of the new pup. Maybe if she left them and just watched them and gave equal attention then all would be much better.
