Thanks for the replies and... Well I thank you for the replies. I do see where it says dna # by the dads id. So once he starts to breed he will start marking? My husband searched for this Yorkie and bought him from a breeder. He paid $8,000 for him to get the quality. The breeder was rec. by a vet. ***I almost fell over when I found out he paid this much. So I thought about finding out the ins and outs of breeding and see if I would want to use him for a stud. I want to do this the right way, so your thoughts are helpful. I have one other question.
I have a female and she is pretty. She is silver and under 4 lbs. But since Winston is a teddy bear face (and blue/gold) and she isnt. I was thinking of not breeding them together. Focusing my attention on using him as a stud.
Another breeder asked if I would allow her male to impregnant my female. She would take care of the pregnancy and vet bills etc. Since I was also not sure if I wanted to do this, because she is tiny. I have delivered pups when I had lhasa's, but she is really tiny. Since this breeder wanted one of her puppies she offered to tend to her during her birthing and pay any vet bills. In exchange she would give me the sale of one of the pups.
I know she sells them for about 1,500 to 2,500 because of the size. Should I allow this breeder to use her to welp a litter. I know her and I trust her. Thinking this would be a good way to have her first litter. Im kind of nervous because she is tiny. |
