Good point, however even if she is on commision making someone feel stupid and irresponsible just isn't right. She could have gone about it in a different way. I think most smaller pet stores do base their employees pay on commision.
I know with my situation (currently working for Petsmart, I'm a pet care specialist. Basically the person who knows a lot about the fish, birds, reptiles and small pets) and with Petco(I would assume) It's not that way. We're paid by the hour, there is no pressure to sell. If I talk to someone and ask about what they're using for their pets and I know of something that may be better, I'll recommend it and tell them why it's better. It's up to them whether they take my advise or not. But it's wrong make someone feel crappy about what they're using already and claim that vets don't know what they're talking about. Vets have pets as well, and they go through extensive training, Ya think they know what they're talking about? I do.
She could have gone about it more dilegently.
