Cali was just spayed last Monday while she was in heat. She was 8 1.2 months old and weighs 4lbs. She also had to have a Liver biopsy, and they were looking for an abdominal blockage. They also took biopsies of her stomach and something else. She made it through fine. I had it done by a board certified surgeon and at a 24 hour emergency clinic because she needed constant monitoting because of her other conditions. As long as the vet does the presurgical blood work and uses the isoflorin sp?) anesthetic they should be fine. I know I waited on cali beause of her health issues then she came into heat which was not fun for her and ended up having it done an an emergency basis but I am so glad it's over.
