You didn't say....is it a urinary track infecion, respiratory?, skin? I am not familiar with this bacteria but there are so many. I am assuming, since they know the bacteria, she had a c & s done and she is on the appropriate antibiotic. I think the best you can do is make sure she takes ALL of her meds on time and for the length of time the vet suggests.

Yes, some infections don't clear and/or return but honestly no one has a crystal ball. Probably best to just focus on getting this infection cleared. I have found that the things I worry about the most usually don't happen!

As to information about the bacteria, you could ask your vet for information but I don't know how that will help you. I personally would be more concerned about info on the antibiotic and possible side effects. Always good to know just in case something pops up.

Also, no sense trying to figure out where she got it. Waste of time and energy. My advice is to focus on her being well today!
