I bathe mine generally every 2 weeks. I would sing to mine as puppies and it seemed to keep them calmer. You can put on soothing/calming music. The more often you do it the quicker the generally get used to it. I hate puppy coats that hair mats up so easily that no matter how hard you try you can still get mats. Combs with rotating teeth are good for some tangles. I had mine shaved into a puppy cut by the groomer as soon as I could lol.
