Vet put on Royal canine can. Ate alittle and no more. Added boiled chucked to it and ate the chicken. Well aware of balanced diet. Ollie is a premium dog food for puppy’s. Tried lamb and Turkey. Not much luck. I ate some fresh salmon and she loved it. So mixed a little of salmon with the wet food Royal canine. No go. Bought yesterday Royal canine dry puppy food. Going to wean hopefully into eating it. She did eat her hills this am so hopefully getting back to normal. Vet wants her on puppy wet food. Breeder says dry better for teeth. |
The studies are mixed on canned vs kibble and effect on teeth.

If you can get her used to teeth brushing, that is great but you must be willing to brush them at least 3 times/week, preferably more. BUT in saying that, yorkies still often have periodontal disease and need dentals done by a vet under anesthesia. You should only use a vet that does dental xrays because the problem is often under the gum where you cannot see it.
This is a great link to read about periodontal disease in dogs:

Sounds like you are getting her on the right track with the food. I hope so because she does need puppy food until she is 1.
