Default Night terrors?

The rescue pup we have seems to have niggt terrors or something.
She will be sleeping then start kind of yelping and get jerky movements and then will bite.
Like yesterday while I was holding her, it happened and I was able to move my arm out of the way but then she bit down on the blanket. Kind of just clamping down.
It happened toniggt a little worse and we weren't sure if she was having a seizure so my husband was trying to keep her from hurting herself and she bit him.
It doesn't seem intentional. I don't think she is totally there all the time anyway but since starting the medication, she seems a little less dazed and less head pressing or tumbling over.
Can abused dogs have something like night terrors? or maybe shes having bad dreams? Especially a sick pup with possible meningoencephalitis?
Poor little girl. It's like she doesnt realize it happened and then will go back to sleep.
I can only imagine all she's been thru in her young life. Breaks my heart because when she's awake she's soooo sweet.
