Many years ago I consulted with a vet nutritionist for Armani and Pippi because they both had weight issues and I was feeding them such small amounts of kibble and they always wanted more food. I home cooked for them for about a year and then I decided to get them back on dog food. They started gaining weight again, so I decided to try canned food rather than kibble. It worked! They were able to eat a decent amount (where they felt satiated) and they didn't gain weight They are siblings and what I realized then is that it has to be a genetic thing...and definitely had to do with metabolism. My other pups didn't have that same issue with kibble.

They remain on canned food now...they will be 15 in a week.
