Either way, I would suggest that the first step here would be a dental check. Many yorkies around that age have retained baby teeth, which could be causing pain if adult teeth are coming in behind and around them. The pain could lead to an increase in chewing.

Yes this is the puppy that was rehomed. All her extra baby teeth were pulled when she was spayed. They love this little girl and aren’t ready to give up on her yet.
I was wondering about raw marrow or knuckle bones from a butcher. They should last a long time and taste good.
