When she won't stop barking (teach her a word, such as "stop" or "hush") . I would pick her up and put her in a room by herself for a few minutes. Then, bring her out and if she starts barking, say "stop" or "hush" and put her back in the room alone. She should quickly get the message that if she wants to be in the room with everyone she should not bark incessantly.
I find the squirt bottle to be a short lived thing and all they do is duck when they see it. I don't feel like keeping a squirt bottle on hand, would rather try to change the behavior. |
