Thanks for the kind words. In a way, I’m afraid I’m being too tuned-in and it might lead to more problems down the road. Right now, with the pandemic raging on, I’m home most of the time so I can offer him water every hour but prevent him from playing in it. Someday, though, I might (gasp!) have the opportunity to be away from home for half a day ... and then what will he do, if he hasn’t stopped this behavior and he can’t have a bowl of water left on the floor?
