As to your last question, last year I had to let one of my older fosters go who was very close with my Pippi. I took Pippi along with us so that she knew. I have seen pups mourn and it is so sad....I felt that this eased the pain. She seemed to understand.

Did you bring Pippi in the room when it happened? I may have a little time to research this cause we visited Cali tonight and she was so much improved. Spry & wide eyed. She was sleeping soundly in the oxygen kennel but when I reached in and she smelled my hand she jumped up, almost saying "mommy take me home!".
