I am not JUDGING, I have lied to get medicle care just want to make sure were talking about the same thing.
Everybody lies occasionally and we all judge whether we realize it or not. But we all do lie or enhance the truth, especially when terrified our little one is hurting badly - or we ourselves are, (as you said you did for whatever reason),maybe seriously ill/injured but the tech or intake nurse or receptionist might not be qualified enough to triage all waiting dogs professionally enough to put my dog whom I'm convinced is very injured or ill first.

In a true emergency at the hospital E.R., it's not first come, first served, first served is based on those professionally assessed by triage to be in extremis, the sickest, most severely injured.

I'd do the same thing Joan did if that's what it took to get my dog that was acting like Cody was immediate help! Its up to US to speak up for our dogs, who can't cry for help, and if those others didn't speak up for their babies because they weren't as fearful or worried, so be it.

What if Cody were bleeding internally, blood pressure rapidly dropping, badly in need of emergency surgery to save his life and sweet Joan quietly waited in line and little Cody died in her arms while waiting in line in his proper mommie's arms? For all Joan knew, that was the case and receptionist/techs rarely have the skill set/training to properly assess that situation. A mom will do ANYTHING to get her little one urgent care - whatever it takes, ask for forgiveness later, if necessary. I'm with Joan on this one!!!
