It’s so scary when you can tell that a pup (or any pet) is hurting, but you don’t know what’s wrong. I’m like you: I always prefer to err on the side of seeing the vet unnecessarily rather than waiting too long to seek help. Especially with small pups like Yorkies.

I’m wondering, from your description of what happened, whether Cody possibly pulled something (like some of those 4 x 4 pieces of wood) over on himself and they landed on his neck and shoulders? Personally, I’m kind of a klutz, and when I bang myself up on something, the pain usually comes on gradually if it’s “just” a soft tissue injury.

Hope to hear he’s feeling better soon.
