Yeah, sounds like he was venting his frustrations over your not producing Callie even after days of missing her, not understanding why, but now, consider him an unhousebroken dog who habitually pees where he chooses. You'll have to treat him as a new, unhousebroken dog to your home and crate-train/confine him all over again, using short, happy crate confinements(which you gradually lengthen as he relearns to hold his urine until outside) you treat as party time when entering the crate with a lot of laughing, fun attitude, treats tossed into and hidden about the crate, a strict schedule he can come to rely on and confinement whenever you cannot watch him like a hawk, just the same way you housebreak any rescue, foster or new, older, unhousebroken dog to your home.
At first, he'll be confused, rattled, very unhappy and disgruntled by it all but a smart dog with a good dog handler whom he trusts will soon accept the new situation as his lot in life and go along, eventually happily if you treat it all as a fun new game.
