Thank God we have television, phone and internet, food, mail service and know about mask-wearing, have gloves and handwashing techniques, enough soap, disinfectant. Can you imagine dealing with all of this prior to these things!!!!!!!!! Just the fact that I can press a button and invite the world, entertainment into my house and order a pizza delivered to my very door by a masked, gloved, incredibly nice person really helps.
What good are fines and tickets to young, rebellious people who ignore them, don't intend to pay them and love taking the risk of driving around w/unpaid fines, etc., as a way of thumbing their nose at authority? Never did get why authority figures are so intimidating and horrid to so many but anyway.... Would break our system if we tried to process each of them for non-payment of a $50.00 or even $1500 in individual fines.
Captainizing is right, younger, more rebellious among us will have to deal with this disease personally before it knocks some compliance into them. They are actually proud of going out w/out mask or gloves. Ah, well, hopefully, the rest of us, first responders, treatment facilities and economy are strong enough to get past them w/out too much damage. If ONLY everyone would've complied, we could have way, way fewer cases of this thing by now.
